Class Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Description: Using one of Mimi Dietrich’s designs (We have her permission and her blessings!), you’ll learn everything you need to know to overcome any hesitancy and begin your adventure in Applique! Beginning with getting the design from paper to fabric to curves, outside points, inside points, perfect circles (Yes! Perfect!), and layering. Next you’ll go beyond “basics” to just a few fancy things like folded buds, gathered posies, padded blossoms and, time permitting, the elegant ruched rose. Yes, that’s a lot, but we’ll have all day, and by the end of the day you’ll have discovered why appliquers love applique so much.

Join Sue as you open the door to your own Fantastic Adventure in Applique!

Block pattern for the class will be provided. Pattern is from Baltimore Blocks for Beginners by Mimi Dietrich (This book is currently out of print, but available online, often at inflated prices. HOWEVER, Sue will have a number of new, signed books from the author, Mimi Dietrich, at the discounted price, $19.99. If you would like to reserve a copy for purchase, please email Sue at csftroyan@gmail.com right away!)
