English Paper Pieced Wreath

Instructor – Sara Madson

Sara Madson has been a quilt maker and teacher for more than forty years. She worked as a coeditor for Chita Publications and many of her quilts appeared in their magazines. Her works have been juried into and won ribbons in several national and international competitions. Drawing or drafting her own designs, often inspired by antique quilts, her work has been described as “intricately detailed traditional quilts." Most of Sara’s quilts are made with a hand-held needle, simply because she loves handwork. Recently her focus has been on completing many of the projects started years ago, giving priority to show quilts. She is excited to return to teaching for the Quiltoberfest!
