American Quilt Study Group:

Virginia Quilt Museum:

Dear Quilt Community Leader:

You may know that in September 2020 the American Quilt Study Group will be holding its Annual Seminar at the Hotel Madison in Harrisonburg, VA. (See )

But did you know that the 2020 Seminar will feature Shenandoah Valley quilts and quilt makers? And Virginia’s internationally known quilt designer Jinny Beyer will be a featured speaker!

"Seminar," the pinnacle event for AQSG, showcases juried lectures, local tours, in-depth study centers, national quilt vendors, research presentations, a vintage quilt auction, and networking. Approximately 300 quilt enthusiasts are expected to attend this five-day meeting of quilt and textile lovers to share knowledge and experiences.

The Virginia Quilt Museum is actively participating by hosting this conference, and a local planning committee is already preparing for this 2020 event.  You and your quilt community friends are invited to join us. Please share this information about the 2020 AQSG Seminar with your quilt related groups and networks.  And we are asking for your help to make a shining example of our regional hospitality and quilt history. A significant commitment of volunteers will be needed and especially financial support to cover administrative costs, a reception, Jinny Beyer’s presentation, gift bags and favors, and a special exhibit at the Virginia Quilt Museum.

Would you be willing to help find volunteers for the event, or suggest possible financial supporters? Perhaps you know someone in your area who could be a key contact interested in helping make this event a success.

Won’t you please let us know that you can help us share the Valley's quilts and quilting community in 2020 with such a highly respected audience? We are looking for assistance from quilt friends in Virginia and eastern West Virginia. Most activity planning will be done by email and phone….no meetings!

Be sure to Save the Dates:

Sept. 9-13, 2020 for AQSG Seminar in Harrisonburg, Va.   Everyone is welcome. Questions and suggestions? Our contact information is above.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon  and that we can count on your help!
