Blueberry Gap Farm Event 2017

We had wonderful weather for the Blue Bird Gap Farm Fall Festival and passed out lots of cards, pamphlets and Quilt Show flyers.

Thanks to Janette Doucette and Jeff Cleveland for helping with set up at 9 a.m. and staying until after noon.  Janette brought a small table and lots of half square triangles for kids to play and design blocks on batting and a design board. Pat McGough volunteered from 10 a.m. to after 1 p.m. and auctioned a Wacky Jack.  Debbie Moore and Gina Vivian came at noon and 12:30 p.m.  Susan Waddles and Yvette Cienski came for the last shift and helped break down at 5 p.m..

Yvette auctioned three wall hangings. I auctioned two quilts that were given as Service Project quilts, but not really appropriate for current service projects.

The auction quilts are in one of the attached pictures.  The Guild received $142.  Yvette donated the first one to the Guild and received $25 for the next two.  Pat McGough received $20 for her Wacky Jack.  There was a gift basket donated by an antique store in Hampton.  It went for $40 and they donated those proceeds to us.  The winner lives in Fairfax, but is mailing us a check.  This will cover the $40 fee we paid.

While setting up I was approached by the Director of the Hampton History Museum.  She would like us to attend their Holiday Market on Dec 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..
